The Swiss Prosecutor Office has confiscated nine stolen artifacts stolen from Libya in 2009.

The Swiss Prosecutor Office said the artifacts include a sculpture for the head of the Greek goddess, Aphrodite that dates back to the first century BC, and two other sculptures believed to be stolen from Syria and Yemen.

It added that it carried out a customs inspection on the artifacts in 2013 and when it doubted they were looted, it hired a group of archaeologists to inspect them before the case was handled to criminal investigators.
