Libyan east force reaches Sirte outskirts, Al-Bunyan Al-Marsoos puts troops on high alert

A force from the Khalifa Haftar-led Dignity Operation in eastern Libya arrived Sunday evening at the 50 checkpoint in eastern Sirte, where its fighters positioned themselves and starting policing the cars passing by the area, sources reported.

Earlier, other sources said that Sirte has been under a high security alert with armed vehicles on the roads since last Saturday, adding that there were also many checkpoints in the city, Zaafran neighborhood, and Abu Hadi roundabout.

Human Rights Solidarity: Immigrants suffering forced labor, rape in Libyan shelter centers

Human Rights Solidarity (HRS) called on Libyan authorities and the society to assume responsibility toward the blatant violations against illegal immigrants in the country.

In a statement it posted on Facebook, HRS said the immigrants shelter centers are using the migrants in internal labor without payments, besides forcing the female migrants into sexual affairs.

"These are dangerous crimes against the immigrants and must be stopped." The statement reads.

Amazigh Council: Khalifa Haftar’s LNA is bunch of terrorist ethnic militias

The Amazigh Supreme Council (ASC) has lashed out at Khalifa Haftar’s self-styled army, saying it does not represent Libya’s Amazigh cities and towns.

The ASC said in a statement on Sunday that “so-called the Libyan Arab Army is just terrorist ethnic militias and that the real Libyan Army is the one that represents all Libyan races”, in response to a recent TV statement by General Khalifa Haftar in which he justified naming his army as “Libyan Arab Army” to the fact that “the majority of Libyan people are from the Arab race”.

East Libya military governor detaining deputy head of civil registry authority

The Libyan eastern military governor Abdelraziq Al-Nathori was accused by Abdelbasit Al-Saiti of detaining his brother Rashid Al-Saiti - the deputy head of the civil registry authority - with no rightful executions.

Bawabet Al-Wasat website cited Al-Saiti as saying that his brother went to meet with Al-Nathori along with his chauffeur and one of the authority's employees.

Libyan municipalities discuss reconciliation authorities project in Sabratha

Sabratha hosted Saturday the preparatory meeting for the upcoming Libyan municipalities meeting which starts Sunday with 35 municipal councils attending.

The preparatory meeting reviewed the items to be discussed in the official meeting and the mechanisms of uniting the authorities and associations under one entity.

The attendees agreed on the name of "Libya's Municipalities Union Association" after a voting session in Sabratha preparatory meeting.

Dignity Operation threatens to respond to deployment of Italian vessels in Libyan waters

“The response to the Italian intervention in the Libyan waters will be strong”, spokesperson of Dignity Operation, Ahmed Al-Mismari, has threatened.

The parallel Libyan News Agency in the eastern region quoted Sunday Al-Mismari as saying that Khalifa Haftar-led army will not accept the division of Libya and the foreign agendas in it.

He claimed that the Italian intervention in the Libyan waters is reckless and aims to undermine the French initiative, which was hailed by the EU, AU and the UN.
